While investigating a reported child sexual abuse case in Central Pennsylvania the suspect appears to have made a confession, according to a release by the New Holland police on May 7, 2024. The investigation into Madison Bair, 30 of New Holland's alleged abuse of a girl began after the local police received a tip from a Mandatory Reporter via Child Line in October 2023, as explained in the release. A woman is in the hospital following a shooting on Tuesday afternoon, the Harrisburg police announced shortly after the incident. Officers were called to report of "shots fired" in the area of Kittatinny and Buckthorn streets at 1:45 p.m. on May 7, according to the police release.
