Juveniles Charged With Trying To Steal Car At Trumbull Mall TRUMBULL, Conn. -- Two juveniles from Derby were charged with trying to steal a car from the parking lot of L.A. Fitness at the Westfield Trumbull Mall on Monday. Police said that a Bridgeport resident had been working out in the gym when he left his keys and belongings in an unlocked locker in the men's locker room. One of the suspects entered the locker room at around 5:30 p.m. and removed the keys, police said. Stamford Man Busted On Drug Charge After Argument In Darien DARIEN, Conn. — A Norwalk man was arrested with ecstasy in his wallet after taking part in an argument in a car in Darien, according to police. At around 10 p.m. on Jan. 8, police responded to Post Road in Darien on a report of a suspicious motor vehicle. A man had reportedly been seen banging on the window of a car, police said. Winter Weather Advisory For Northern Fairfield County As Snow Approaches FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A winter weather advisory is in effect for northern Fairfield County until Wednesday afternoon, with 2 to 6 inches of snow expected to hit the area overnight, according to the National Weather Service. The advisory is in effect from midnight to 1 p.m. Wednesday. Bridgeport Teens Charged With Stealing Rifle From Bass Pro Shop BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A pair of Bridgeport teens were charged with breaking into Bass Pro Shop in September and stealing a rifle, according to the Connecticut Post. Police told the Connecticut Post that on Sept. 4, they responded to a burglar alarm at the Bass Pro Shop and found that a window had been smashed. A .50 caliber muzzleloader rifle worth $629 had been stolen from the gun case, the Connecticut Post reported. Wall Street Theater In Norwalk Flips The Switch On New Marquee NORWALK, Conn. -- The Wall Street Theater in Norwalk marked its official opening after an extensive, $10 million renovation by lighting up its marquee in a ceremony. The 700-seat theater, located at 71 Wall St., was originally built in 1915 and has been transformed into a next-generation performance space that will showcase professional music, comedy, dance and stage performances. Newtown Bank Employee Cited For Writing "Help" On Bank Window As Prank NEWTOWN, Conn. -- A Newtown bank employee who wrote "HELP" on a fogged-up window was cited for creating a public disturbance Friday morning after someone saw it and called 911. State Officially Declares Site Of Norwalk Condo Fire A Disaster NORWALK, Conn. — The state of Connecticut has officially declared a December condominium fire that displaced dozens in Norwalk as a disaster, meaning that those affected will be eligible for low-interest disaster loans, according to the Hour. A fire that broke out at the StoneWood Condominiums on Richards Avenue in Norwalk on Dec. 11 displaced all the residents of the complex's 54 units.
