IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Irvington High School will host its eighth-grade parents' night on Monday, Jan. 26, from 7 p.m to 8:45 p.m.
The annual event is geared toward helping parents to learn about strategies to help their children transition to high school while gaining an understanding of the school’s comprehensive programs and courses.
The evening will begin with opening remarks from school officials in the campus theater. Transition strategies and an overview of the IHS program will be discussed. Parents will then be able to meet in smaller groups with department chairpersons to learn about course sequences, electives and the honors process.
