The baby, whose gender was not revealed, was found in a plastic bag at Brookfield Recycling at 100 Lamont Street (corner of Hayes Street), according to police. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
The case is being considered a homicide at this point.
Workers at the facility found the body while sorting through a pile of recyclable materials brought to the center.
