Residents can go to the bridge project's website to see noise, vibration and air quality results in real time. The public can report noise concerns through the newNYbridge.com website or call in on the hotline 1-855-TZBRIDGE.
"We are empowering people with information and keep them up to date on what's happening with this vital project,” Thruway Authority Executive Director Thomas Madison said. “We are taking unprecedented measures to mitigate noise, vibration and air quality issues and the monitoring system that is now on our website is a major part of that effort."
State officials said the daytime pile driving was to help install a trestle in the Hudson River just north of the existing bridge in Tarrytown. The trestle will support a crane that will be used in construction of the new bridge.
Construction of the trestle is expected to last several months, state officials said.
