Irvington Schools Release Superintendent Contract

 

IRVINGTON, N.Y. – The Irvington Board of Education released its contract with new superintendent Kristopher Harrison on Friday, a day after officially appointing him to the position. 

 

The five-year contract is in effect from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2017.

 

Harrison's base salary remains the same at $249,124 for his first two years of employment before increasing by about $5,000 each consecutive year. His salary increases to $254,106 in 2014, $259,188 in 2015 and $264,372 in 2016. 

 

The Irvington Board of Education agreed to pay 80 percent of the premium cost of the school district's health insurance plan for Harrison's family.

 

Harrison is the current superintendent of the Mendham Township School District in New Jersey, a position he has held since 2008.

 

He has previously served as principal of Maplewood Middle School in Maplewood, N.J. and the Walter O. Krumbiegle Middle School in Hillside, N.J. 

 

Harrison received a doctoral degree from the College of Saint Elizabeth, a master's degree from Rutgers University and a bachelor’s degree from Kean College of New Jersey.
