Evolve Dance Will Perform at Tarrytown Music Hall

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Evolve Dance and its Y Dance students will take the stage for three separate performances this weekend at the Tarrytown Music Hall.

The Evolve Dance Festival on March 16 will feature choreography by Faye Driscoll, Daniel Gwirtzman, Max Pollak, Lander Patrick, Hilary Sweeney, Jiwon Lee and Mana Kawamura.

The Evolve Dance company is a non-profit organization that aims to provide pre-professional and professional dance training. It also brings together professional dancers and students in collaboration with the Tarrytown YMCA through the Y Dance Program.

The festival “follows Evolve’s tradition of presenting performances by a diverse array of professional dance companies and dancers, including contemporary dance, traditional dance, social dance, dance with live music, and dance that defies classification,” according to the company. This is the festival's sixth year.

Faye Driscoll has spent the past three months creating a new work for the professional artists in the company, as well as a duet for herself and dance partner Jesse Zarrit.

The Y Dance Festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday and features performances from students in the program. Performances will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday and at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Tickets are available for purchase through the Tarrytown Music Hall.

Evolve Dance Festival tickets are $25 for adults; $15 for students under 17, senior citizens and professional dancers; and $10 for groups of 10 or more.

Y Dance Festival tickets are $20 for adults; $10 for students under 17 and senior citizens; and $7 for groups of 10 or more.
