The waterfront section of the General Motors property will be open to the public on Saturdays, connecting the existing RiverWalk parks in Horan's Landing and Kingsland Point Park.

Park to Park Days will take place each Saturday until Labor Day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The General Motors site and its waterfront access is usually closed to the public. The site is sometimes used for parking during large events in Kingsland Point Park or near the waterfront, such as the Sleepy Hollow Sprint Triathlon. The village also stores several Department of Public Works vehicles in the fenced-in lot.

An anticipated redevelopment of the General Motors site includes adding a RiverWalk park along the waterfront. Crews have been conducting remediation just off-shore of the site in preparation for the redevelopment.

Access will be available from existing waterfront walking paths in Horan's Landing and Kingsland Point Park.
