TARRYTOWN, N.Y. It doesn't look like another Nor'easter, but the National Weather Service is predicting rain and a 20 percent chance of snow this week as a cold front approaches the area.
Rain is likely to continue into Tuesday night with a chance of precipitation of 70 percent before 1 a.m. The National Weather Service also predicts widespread fog and a low of 48 degrees Tuesday night.
The chance of rain decreases to 40 percent during the daylight Wednesday, with widespread fog before 9 a.m. and a high of 54. The chance of rain increases to 70 percent Wednesday night with a low of 35.
Snow is in the forecast for Thursday. The National Weather Service says there's a 20 percent chance of precipitation, with snow likely falling before 10 a.m. Thursday's temperatures should reach 45 degrees, with a low around 29 degrees that night.
The National Weather Service says the weather should clear up by Friday, with sunny and clear skies continuing until Monday.
