Heavy Rain, Steamy Storms Headed To Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow

Be ready to pull out the umbrellas on Saturday as a cold front moves into the area, bringing with it a chance of strong, to possibly severe thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service.

The front, expected to arrive in the early afternoon and carry over into the evening, could also bring gusty, high winds. The 60 percent chance of rain is forecast to be heaviest between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., then turn to a 30 percent chance of showers after 4 p.m. and into the evening.

Rainfall amounts between a quarter- and half-inch are possible.

Abundant sunshine returns on Sunday, allowing for temperatures to reach to slightly above normal levels for this time of year with highs around 85 degrees.
