SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- Horace Greeley and Sleepy Hollow enter their game Saturday off victories in week one that were strikingly different. The Quakers manhandled Roosevelt, Greeley coach Bill Tribous alma mater, 56-13, while the Headless Horsemen rallied to a 21-20 victory over Pelham.
Horace Greeley will be hard-pressed to score 56 points against a Sleepy Hollow defense which blanked Pelham in the second half. Sleepy Hollow scored 14 points in the third quarter to take the lead. Quarterback Nick Vallo had a big game, completing 13 of 19 passes for 185 yards and three scores. Jake Warren had two touchdown catches and L.J. Garrant, who had 75 yards rushing, had the other. The Ciero brothers -- Justin and Cameron -- combined for 162 yards rushing and four touchdowns. Justin Ciero, a senior, carried five times for 112 yards and three scores.
