Sleepy Hollow Football Motivated for Saunders

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Sleepy Hollow will be a motivated team when the Headless Horsemen take the field Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Sleepy Hollow, 1-1 this season, is angry following its loss last week to Horace Greeley. The Headless Horsemen had an excellent game offensively, but were mad with their defensive showing.

“We are mad, frustrated and disappointed,” said Steven Bencosme following the Greeley game. “We are going to go out and give it our all because we have to get the win against Saunders.”

Sleepy Hollow’s offense can frustrate an opponent on the right arm of quarterback Nick Vallo or the running of L.J. Garrant.Vallo completed 17 of 26 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns against Horace Greeley. Darien James and Bencosme each had big games. James caught six passes for 102 yards and Bencosme had five grabs for 98 yards and two touchdowns.
