Rice helped lead the Baltimore Ravens to a 28-13 upset victory Sunday over the New England Patriots.
Art Monk, a White Plains High School star in the 1970s, was a standout wide receiver and NFL Hall of Famer for the 1992 Washington Redskins who defeated the Buffalo Bills 34-27 in Super Bowl XXVI. Yonkers native and Roosevelt High School graduate Jimmy Kennedy, a defensive lineman, won a Super Bowl ring last year as a member of the 2012 New York Giants champions but was injured and did not play.
Rice, a former standout at New Rochelle High School where he led the Huguenots to the 2003 New York State Class AA title before a record-breaking career at Rutgers University, rushed for 48 yards and scored the Ravens' first touchdown of the game.
Rice is a fixture in the community each summer when he runs his Ray Rice football camp at New Rochelle High School. He has also donated equipment to his former team, which won the state title this past fall.
