SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- Devin Lopez received medical clearance for an injured shoulder and took his spot at quarterback for Sleepy Hollow Saturday, tossing for four touchdowns in a thrilling 41-32 victory over rival Ossining.

Lopez and the Horsemen traded touchdown drives for three quarters with Pride quarterback Justin Davidov and his teammates with the teams locked in an offensive showdown in the 40th meeting of the border rival teams.

"I really thought I wouldn't get to play," Lopez said. "I have family here from Miami and everyone here for Homecoming. I'm so happy I get clearance to play. This was a big, big game for a lot of reasons."

A lot of reasons included Sleepy Hollow's postseason playoff hopes which depend on Lopez and the offense. The senior quarterback, who missed last week's lone loss of the season (which came against unbeaten Rye), completed 20 of 27 passes for 341 yards and rushed for another 130 and two scores.

While Lopez was running up and down the field, Davidov passed for 211 yards and two scores and rushed for another 147 yards and two touchdowns giving the Pride a 32-27 late in the third quarter.

"Ossining is so well-coached and moved the ball with Davidov up an down the field," said Sleepy Hollow coach Steve Borys, who celebrated his birthday with a win. "This is a good game to go int the playoffs with -- like a big playoff game."

Sleepy Hollow now leads the 40-year rivalry 20-18 with two ties.

"They are a great team -- Justin and those guys can score," Lopez said. "I'm blessed to be able to play. What a great day for us."
