Irvington Union Free School District Announces Basketball, Bowling Wins

IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Irvington Union Free School District has announced a winter athletic update, including accomplishments from bowling and boys' and girls' basketball.

Bowlers John Belloise placed 19th out of 83 bowlers and Robin Weiss ranked 37th out of 88 bowlers in their performances at the Sectional Bowling Championships.

Boys' and girls' basketball also experienced wins during their sectional games.

The girls' team is the number-one seed and defeated North Salem, 59-37. The team takes on number-eight seed Woodlands Wednesday in the campus gym.

The boys' team is the number-three seed and defeated Edgemont, 54-36. The team will host number-six seed Palisades Prep at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday in the campus gym.
