Dobbs Ferry Boys Slip Past Irvington

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Irvington boys’ basketball team put up a fight against highly-ranked Dobbs Ferry Wednesday, making a fourth-quarter comeback try before falling to the Eagles in a low-scoring game, 33-32.

The Eagles (16-1), played without leading scorer Eric Paschall due to an injury, and lacked offensive punch as the visiting Bulldogs’ defense allowed Dobbs Ferry just 11 first-half points and trailed 11-7 at halftime.

Irvington trailed 22-15 after three quarters before mounting a comeback, outscoring the Eagles 17-11 to fall a point short.

Thomas Fleming led the Eagles with 10 points and Eddie Ritch added seven.

Jon Goldreich led the Bulldogs with 11 points.
