Irvington Among Nation's Best High Schools In New Rankings

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Several Westchester County  high schools were ranked among the best in the nation, according to Newsweek in a story released this week.

Bronxville was the top-rated school in Westchester, coming in 29th overall. BHS boasted a graduation rate of 100 percent with 98 percent of its graduates bound for college. The survey also said 89.3 percent of students were ready for college upon graduation. 

Briarcliff (No. 31), and Rye (No. 96) were the other to area schools to crack the top 100.

Other area schools to make the list included:

  • Pleasantville (No. 122)
  • Eastchester (No. 132)
  • Rye Neck (No. 140)
  • Ardsley (No. 146)
  • Hastings (No. 162)
  • Irvington (No. 177)
  • Pelham Memorial (No. 235)
  • Dobbs Ferry (No. 260)
