Washington Irving School Students And Parents Celebrate Medieval Times

TARRYTOWN -- Students and parents had a Medieval smackdown at a world history event Feb. 9 in Tarrytown.

Period costumes, jousting, Medieval dance and swordplay were part of Washington Irving Intermediate School's Medieval Night, led by third grade teacher Maureen Massaro.

Everyone chowed down on food brought in by parents and participated the in Massaro's social studies challenge group, a culmination of group study about the Medieval period of world history
