Snow Causes Early Dismissals For Tarrytown Schools

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Expected snow and ice conditions have caused schools and centers in Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow and Irvington to cancel Friday activities and consider early dismissals.

Public Schools of the Tarrytowns: The Public Schools of the Tarrytowns will close early on Friday. There will be no Alcott Program or Pre-K.

John Paulding School will dismiss at 12:05 p.m. W.L. Morse Elementary School will dismiss at 11:25 a.m. Washington Irving Intermediate School will dismiss at 10:45 a.m. Sleepy Hollow Middle School will dismiss at 11:45 a.m. Sleepy Hollow High School will dismiss at 11:45 a.m.

Pocantico Hills Central School District: The Pocantico Hills Central School District will close at 11:30 a.m. The lunch program will start at 10 a.m. The after-school program has not been canceled, but students must be picked up by car.

Irvington Union Free School District: The Irvington Union Free School District will be closed Friday.

John Cardinal O'Connor School: The John Cardinal O'Connor School will be closed Friday.

Transfiguration School: The Transfiguration School will close at 10:45 a.m. The school has canceled all after-school activities and athletic practices Friday.

The Parents Place : Friday programming and afternoon activities will proceed as scheduled unless the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns close. The Parents Place will be closed Saturday.

Tarrytown YMCA: The YMCA Early Learning Center will close at 3 p.m. Students in the Tarrytown Schools Out program will be bused to the center and picked up at 3 p.m.

RSHM Life Center: The RSHM Life Center will be closed Friday.
