Snow Cancels Rivertown Parents 'Math Facts' Program

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Tuesday night's “Math Facts For Grown-Ups” program sponsored by the Rivertown Parents group has been canceled because of the weather.

The event will be rescheduled for a later date.
Jose Rosen, the K-6 math specialist for the Dobbs Ferry Union Free School District, will give pointers on simple strategies and a refresher on math skills to help students with math at home. Parents will learn skills through games and activities.

A Spanish translator will be available. Admission is free.

The Rivertown Parents group comprises parents from Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Hastings, Irvington, Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow. The group works with Mercy College to sponsor programs and lectures.
