Sleepy Hollow Middle School Performs In Rivertowns Music Festival

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Student musicians from four different middle schools in the Rivertowns came together over the weekend for the two-day Ninth Annual Rivertowns Music Festival, held this year at Ossining High School.

The festival culminated with a combined concert on Saturday by students from Sleepy Hollow Middle School, Briarcliff Middle School, Ossining's Ann M. Dorner Middle School and Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School in Croton-on-Hudson.

The honor orchestra was conducted by Sleepy Hollow's Brittney Trenczer, and the honor band was conducted by Ossining's Thomas J. Bastone. 

More than 120 student musicians participated, and the concert was packed with friends and family members. 

Other participating school music directors were Chris Melitto, Kate Stocker and Marc Tartell of Briarcliff; Sara O'Brien and Lisa Sable of Van Cortlandt; Meghan Ryan of Ann M. Dorner and Micah Sprague of Sleepy Hollow.
