These 75-minute competitions are designed to increase interest in mathematics and to develop problem solving skills. Students are challenged with beautiful, puzzling mathematics questions aligned to our standards at all levels of difficulty.
Students can qualify for higher level contests and compete on a national level. Locally, there is a $200 monetary prize for the first student at Sleepy Hollow High School to qualify for the next level AIME Exam.
Students are asked to visit Mrs. Walsh (jwalsh@tufsd.org) in the math office by Jan. 12 to register and pick up practice materials.
