New York Voters Back Tax Help For Private Schools, Poll Finds

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – A Quinnipiac University Poll found that voters in New York State support a tax credit for parents paying tuition at private schools for their children.

Voters support the $500 state tax credit 66-30 percent for parents who make up to $60,000 and who pay private school tuition, according to the poll.

The poll results also show that support is 55-40 percent for providing tax credits to those who make donations to private schools.
