Irvington Schools To Reopen Monday

IRVINGTON, N.Y. – Irvington schools will reopen Monday on a regular schedule, Superintendent Kristopher Harrison said Saturday.

“We are appreciative of the great support we received from all departments within the Village of Irvington,” Harrison said in an email.

A warmer shelter at Main Street School's gymnasium will continue to operate from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering heat, tables, and power. The shelter does not offer Wi-Fi.

Harrison said the district did not sustain major damage during Hurricane Sandy.

“On this front we consider ourselves most fortunate,” he said.
