A search timeline released by Superintendent Kristopher Harrison would have the Irvington Board of Education approve a replacement for Principal Scott Mosenthal by April 23, with the new principal starting in July 2013.

A similar timeline is in place for a new Main Street School principal.

Mosenthal announced in June that he would be stepping down from his post after 14 years. He began teaching in the school district in 1975.

Eileen Casey is serving as interim principal for the Main Street School this year, replacing Raina Kor. Kor was promoted to assistant superintendent of instruction and human resources after working as principal and the district's point person on teacher evaluations and the Common Core standards in the 2011-12 school year.

Officials will begin the search for a new high school principal in January, with several community forums taking place during the week of Jan. 7. The school district has not yet announced when and where those meetings will take place.

Interviews with Harrison and Kor would take place in February and March. The Board of Education would interview several candidates in early April.

Harrison also outlined a community search committee that would interview high school principal candidates. The committee would comprise one board member, two parents nominated by the PTSA, one parent nominated by the Irvington Education Foundation, four faculty members, two administrators, one CSEA member, one high school student and Kor.
