This year's speaker at the May 19 event was local resident and Fordham University assistant professor of physiology Lisa Sarran-Armogarn, who spoke about her ongoing biomedical research with stem cells.
Two seniors, six juniors and 18 sophomores took part in the program, culminating in this symposium.
SUNY Albany gave accreditation to the program and the Irvington Education Foundation helped fund the symposium by giving students the materials for their final project, including the poster board needed for each presentation.
The 26 underclassmen gave presentations, while 18 incoming freshman were welcomed into next year's program.
