Irvington High School Inducts 22 Members To Its Cum Laude Society

IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Irvington High School's Cum Laude Society recently inducted 22 new members to its society.

The district and Irvington High School administration congratulated the following students on their induction: Alexander Brandt, Madeline Cohen, Wendy Cohen, Julia Correa, Amanda Drath, Hope Fourie, Moona Hamad, Ryan Havdala, Peter Jones, Edward Kuo, Myles Novick, Mark Paparo, Caleigh Plaut, Elliott Plaut, Pavithra Prabhakar, Grace Richter, Elizabeth Riley, Caleb Schwartz, Sierra Scott, Sydney Stein, Ethan Tardio and Vivian Yan.

The Cum Laude Society is dedicated to honoring superior scholastic achievement in secondary schools. Students are selected who have demonstrated academic excellence, as well as good character, honor and integrity in all aspects of their school life.

At a special ceremony, Principal David Cohen lauded the new inductees for their commitment to their educational pursuits, and encouraged them to continue to work hard and strive to maintain excellence in all they do. Following a candle-lighting segment during the ceremony, students were inducted.

“The Irvington High School chapter of the Cum Laude Society is proud to induct these new members who have demonstrated academic excellence and have demonstrated great leadership, service and character,” Cohen said.
