“Our AP Environmental Science class came to school administration last year to ask us about installing a water filling station as a means for minimizing the usage of bottled water,” said Irvington High School Principal David Cohen.

The station is frequented during the school day and counts how many plastic bottles it prevents from being discarded.

“We are excited by the results and are considering adding more stations,” Cohen said.
