GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- Richard A. Medaska, of Glen Rock, died on Dec. 7. He was 79.
Prior to his retirement he was a member of the Hackensack Police Department. He served his country in the U.S.Navy , belonged to the New Jersey Police Honor Legion, Police Benevolent Association ,and the American Legion Post 221 in River Edge.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Mason; his son, Richard Medaska Jr. and wife Christine; his step –daughter, Robin Ogden and husband Tim; granddaughters, Alyssa, Caroline, and Kaitlyn Ogden; his siblings, Irene Venatore and husband Walter, and Kenneth and wife Jeanne.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
