WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- Wappingers Falls resident Eleanor C. (Luberda) Onufrak died on Tuesday, Feb. 16. She was 82.
Born in Peckville, Pennsylvania, Onufrak retired from IBM. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Fishkill. "Her compassion and selflessness will be missed by many," according to information from Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home.
She was predeceased by her husband, George; parents Katherine and Paul Luberda; brothers Walter and Edward; and half-sisters Mary and Pauline.
Onufrak is survived by her companion of 28 years, William "Bill" Smetana, and her two daughters Lynn and Kim and their spouses, Craig and Kevin.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1200 Main Street, in Fishkill. Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, in Wappingers Falls, is assisting with arrangements.
