IRVINGTON, N.Y. – A public information forum about creating historic districts is planned for Thursday in Irvington.

The Irvington Historic District Committee, formed in August 2011, will host a panel of guest speakers to initiate community discussion about a potential historic district in Irvington. The forum will begin at 7 p.m. at the Irvington Public Library. A snow date has been set for Jan. 16.

Guest speakers include architects Walter Sedovic and Joseph Pell Lombardi. Members of the Historic District Committee also will discuss Irvington buildings.

Sedovic, principal and CEO of an architectural firm, has previously worked with National Park Service historic sites in Boston and New York. Sedovic, an Irvington resident, has received several national architecture awards.

Lombardi specializes in preserving historical buildings and has received several industry awards, including the New York City Landmark Preservation Commission Certificate of Merit. He lives in Irvington in the historic “Octagon House.”
