In a head-to-head comparison, Clinton holds a wide margin over Trump, 48-36 percent, according to the poll.

U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders would also beat out Trump, 49-37 percent, and the same goes for Vice President Joe Biden, who beat him out 45-37 percent in the recent poll.

Clinton still holds a massive lead over her Democratic counterparts, controlling 55 percent of the Democratic vote versus just 17 for Sanders and 13 for Biden, according to Quinnipiac.
