TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Groups near the Tappan Zee Bridge can now begin to submit grant applications for a $20 million community benefits fund.
The fund is intended to improve the area around the bridge by preserving infrastructure, enhancing recreational opportunities, expanding access to the new bridge, improving safety, enhance emergency response or “will otherwise have a positive impact on the quality of life for residents and communities in Rockland and Westchester Counties.”
Interested parties, including governmental entities and non-profits, can submit a letter of interest to the state's CBP Grant Review Committee until early 2017 or until all the funds have been given out.
