The officer, who was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, is expected to survive, according to the Daily News.
The Yonkers officer was conducting a vehicle stop with her partner near Park Hill Avenue and Rumey Road at around 8:15 p.m. when she was shot at least once, according to CBS News.
The officers were able to return fire though it was not released whether anyone was hit. Two suspects are in custody.
