YONKERS, N.Y. -- Firefighters battled a suspicious fire which broke out at 9:30 a.m. Sunday and destroyed a vacant building on 20 Oak Street, according to a report by News 12 Westchester.
Fire officials said it took about 60 firefighters three hours to get the blaze under control, the report said. Crews worked quickly to keep it from spreading to other buildings in the area, the report said.
Investigators believe the fire is suspicious, since the building was abandoned and the electricity was turned off, the report said.
