Woman Found Lying In Road After Tarrytown Party

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – A woman found lying unresponsive in a Tarrytown road was taken to Phelps Memorial Hospital Center, police report. 

Police found the woman on Tarryhill Road around 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 5. A friend of the woman told officers a group of friends had been drinking in the woods near Turtle Pond when the woman became  drunk and started walking west on Tarryhill Road, police said.

Also from the Tarrytown Police blotter: 

• Irvington police notified Tarrytown police that wires were burning outside a home on Mallard Rise around 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 5.

• A man who fell overboard into the Hudson River around 4 p.m. on Aug. 5 was rescued by Irvington firefighters.

• Two cars got into an accident on North Broadway around 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 4. The driver of one of the cars told police she tried to get the other motorist to stop but he refused. Police contacted the other driver, who told them he drove off because the woman was yelling profanities at him and he didn't want to get into a dispute with her.

• Police charged a 19-year-old man with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, in Pierson Park on Aug. 3.

• A Miller Avenue resident reported two pitbulls running loose on the street around 7 a.m. on Aug. 3. The dogs had been retrieved before police arrived.

• Police charged two 49-year-old women with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, on Neperan Road on Aug. 2.

• Police charged a 44-year-old man with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, on Main Street on Aug. 2.
