Trio Accused Of Abducting Two Teens In Sleepy Hollow

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – Three men were arrested on charges of abducting and robbing two teens in Sleepy Hollow on Tuesday, Dec. 18, police said.

Osvaldo Maria-Melendez, 22, of Tarrytown, and Arturo Delgado, 22, and Carlos Martinez, 29, both of Sleepy Hollow, were accused of forcing two teens ages 18 and 19 into their car while they walked in the area of Cortlandt and Depeyster streets, said Sleepy Hollow Police Chief Gregory Camp. The incident occurred before 9:50 p.m., Camp said

The suspects drove to a remote location outside the village boundaries where they robbed the suspects and left them, said Camp. One of the victims was assaulted and was taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

All three men were charged with second-degree robbery, a felony, and second-degree unlawful imprisonment, a misdemeanor. One of the suspects posted bail, which was divided into a $10,000 bond and $2,000 cash. The other two were to remain in county jail until the next available court appearance on Monday, Dec. 31
