Tarrytown Woman Accused Of Threatening Neighbor

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – A Tarrytown woman has been accused of harassing and threatening her neighbor.

Donna Giglio, 50, was charged with first-degree harassment, a misdemeanor, after her South Broadway neighbor told police that Giglio had threatened to slit her throat.

The neighbor told police she had been having “ongoing problems” with Giglio that culminated in the threat.

The following items also were reported by Tarrytown police:

Dead Deer: Police received reports that a dead deer was blocking North Broadway around 5:30 a.m. Oct. 11.

Home Break-In: A Prospect Avenue resident reported on Oct. 10 that his home had been broken into while he was on vacation, but nothing had been taken.

Grease Fire: A small grease fire Oct. 9 at the Sweet Grass Grill was extinguished before firefighters arrived.

Stuck Elevator: Someone got stuck in the elevator at the Tarrytown train station on Oct. 8.

Coyote Sightings: Coyotes were seen on South Broadway on Oct. 8, on Route 119 on Oct. 9, on Benedict Avenue on Oct. 10 and on Route 119 on Oct. 10.

Deer Hit: Police received reports of cars hitting deer on Route 119 on Oct. 6 and on Neperan Road on Oct. 8.

Flooded Basement: Firefighters were called to help pump out a flooded basement caused by a broken water pipe at the EF International Academy on Oct. 6.

GPS Stolen: A Carroll Close resident reported that her GPS system had been stolen from her unlocked, parked car on Oct. 4.
