The yearly tradition will help raise funds to restore the company's antique 1965 anniversary edition Seagrave fire truck. All proceeds from the Christmas tree sale will benefit the restoration efforts.
Trees are $10 a foot, and firefighters said trees are available up to 10 feet tall. Residents can choose from the many trees lined up inside the firehouse and firefighters will help tie trees to buyers' cars.
Wreaths are available as well. Decorated wreaths are $20, with plain wreaths costing $15.
The Riverside Hose firehouse on Franklin Street will be open Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The sale will continue until all trees are sold.
The company has been restoring its 1965 truck for about three years. It remained in service in Tarrytown for about 25 years before being sold. Firefighters brought the truck back to the village from California and have restored more than 85 percent of it.
