Tarrytown Police: Missing Woman Report False Alarm

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – A Yankees fan reported missing and believed to have boarded a Metro North train to Tarrytown later turned up in Manhattan, Tarrytown police said.

Police assigned to Yankee Stadium called Tarrytown police around 12:30 a.m. to report that a missing 19-year-old woman, believed to be intoxicated, had possibly boarded a train to Tarrytown after the game ended a few hours earlier.

Tarrytown police checked the area, but found nothing. The woman was later found in Manhattan around 3 a.m.

Police also reported the following items:

• A small trash can fire broke out in a woman's bathroom at Ursula Hall at the EF School around 2 a.m. Aug. 1.

• Police charged David Javier, 20, with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, on July 31.

• A woman reported money had been stolen from her locker at the YMCA around 1:30 p.m. July 31.

• Police were called after a group of teens were spotting yelling and talking while entering the woods and possibly carrying alcohol near Warren Avenue around midnight July 30. Police checked the area, but said the students fled when police arrived.

• An intoxicated man was taken to Phelps Memorial Hospital Center around 4 p.m. July 30 after he was found on the back steps of Warner Library.

• Police were called after a Crest Drive resident spotted a man carrying what looked like a rifle and pistol around 5:30 p.m. July 29. Police discovered the man and his kids were attending a birthday party with their Airsoft guns.

• One person was taken to Phelps Memorial Hospital Center after a car accident on Franklin Street around 3 p.m. July 29.
