Tarrytown Police: Argument Leads To Smashed Window

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – A car's windshield was shattered after a woman and a man got into an argument at the Mobil Gas Station on South Broadway, Tarrytown police said.

The woman called police around 1 p.m. July 23 to report that a man she knew had smashed her car's windshield after they got into an argument. The woman reported the man then ran northbound on South Broadway.

Police did not release the man's name.

Police also reported the following items:

• A Church Street resident told police on July 25 she was getting unwanted text messages from an ex-boyfriend.

• Police charged three men with disorderly conduct, a violation, after breaking up a fight in the Tarrytown YMCA parking lot about 4:30 a.m. July 25.

• Police charged one man with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, on July 24.

• The C-Town supermarket reported a possible overnight theft of some merchandise July 24. Police reviewed security footage and have filed a case.

• Security workers at the EF school reported seeing a red minivan driving up and down Marymount Avenue trying to pick up female students around 2:30 a.m. July 23. Police later located the car and interviewed the driver.
