Tarrytown officials approved the hiring of Manace Infante to the department during a special meeting Wednesday. Infante begins training Monday at the Westchester County Police Academy with an annual salary of $37,425.

Infante is one of three new officers hired during the latter half of this year to replace officers who retired at the end of May, Tarrytown Village Administrator Michael Blau said.

Tarrytown trustees approved the hiring of two other police officers in early July, with both starting at the police academy at the end of that month.

Both Matthew Garro and Hugo Medina graduated from the Westchester County Police Academy in December. Garro and Medina are now “on the road,” Blau said.
