An alarm company contacted police at about 2:30 a.m. April 3 to report the building's fire alarm had gone off. Firefighters responded to the church and found the alarm had been set off by some balloons.
Firefighters reset the alarm and went on their way.
Police also reported the following items:
- A 29-year-old was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, on West Main Street on April 2.
- A North Washington Street resident reported on March 31 that someone had stolen a cast-iron double sink valued at $1,000 from the side of his house, which is undergoing construction.
- A man with camping gear told police March 31 that he was trying to cut through the woods on his way to White Plains. Police told him to use Route 119.
- The Tarrytown House Estate and Conference Center reported March 31 that someone had tried to enter the window of a room of the King House at about 5 a.m. When confronted, the man ran into a waiting car.
