Sleepy Hollow Stabbing Victim ID'd

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- Police identified a former Sleepy Hollow Middle School student as the victim in a fatal stabbing that occurred late Friday night at Barnhardt Park and announced a 16-year-old Tarrytown resident has been charged with murder, according to reports.

Tahj Robinson, 17, who most recently was living with relatives in New Jersey, was found bleeding from multiple stab wounds before being pronounced dead at Westchester Medical Center. Robinson had been a Sleepy Hollow Middle School student before moving to New Jersey, News 12 reported. He was described as being an aspiring musician and talented athlete, according to News 12.

Police have charged Berinzon Moronta, 16, of Tarrytown with second-degree murder, lohud.com. Moronta was apprehended in Yonkers.

The Homecoming varsity football game between Somers and Sleepy Hollow was postponed after the stabbing. For more on that, click here.
