Sleepy Hollow Police Probe 'Hateful' Graffiti

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – Sleepy Hollow police are investigating hateful and sexual graffiti found at DeVries Park Wednesday morning, Police Chief Gregory Camp said.

Camp said police were notified that a storage building in the park had been broken into overnight. Paint cans had been taken from the building, and Camp said someone had sprayed it on the building, picnic tables and the infield area of the softball field.

“Several of the drawings and words were of a hateful nature, as well as some of graphic sexual words and drawings,” Camp said.

Camp did not elaborate on the graffiti.

Police are asking anyone with any information to call the Sleepy Hollow Police Department Detective Division at 631-0800 or submit an anonymous tip .
