Sleepy Hollow Man Arraigned In Easter Shooting

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – A Sleepy Hollow man was arraigned Tuesday on eight counts of attempted murder, assault and criminal possession in relation to a shooting that took place on Easter Sunday in Sleepy Hollow.

Sean Ward, 30, is charged with two counts of second-degree attempted murder, one count of first-degree assault, one count of first-degree attempted assault, one count of second-degree assault and three counts of second-degree criminal possession, all felonies., according to the Westchester District Attorney's office

Sleepy Hollow police say two gunshot victims were found lying in the roadway on Beekman Avenue around 3:30 a.m. near the Match Bar and Barnhart Avenue. Police say they apprehended Ward on Clinton Street immediately after and also recovered a firearm.

Both gunshot victims were taken to the Westchester Medical Center.

Ward's bail was set at $250,000 cash or bond. His next court day is May 7.

Ward faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in state prison for each count of attempted murder.
