State police troopers arrested Ronald Cherry, a civilian vocational instructor employed by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision on Wednesday, following a lengthy investigation into his actions at the facility.
According to police, the investigation determined that Cherry was in possession of two 16.9-ounce water bottles filled with alcohol while within the correctional facility.
Cherry was arrested and charged with promoting prison contraband, a misdemeanor. He has been released and is due back in the Village of Ossining Court later this month to answer the charges.
