New York State Police troopers were dispatched to a Denise Court residence in Pleasant Valley on Saturday, Feb. 10, where there were reports of a domestic disturbance involving the 7-year-old and 39-year-old April Gadonniex.

Police said that Gadonniex placed the girl outside in the rain wearing just socks and a t-shirt as a form of discipline. The girl then ran to a neighbor’s house for help, leading to the emergency 911 call.

Gadonniex was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. A full stay away Order of Protection was also issued in favor of the 7-year-old. Following arraignment, Gadonniex was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $250 cash bail or $500 bond. She is due to appear in the Town of Pleasant Valley Court on Feb. 15 to answer the charge.
