Police Seek Man In Attack At Greenburgh Gas Station

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Greenburgh police are seeking a man in his 20s after he was accused of striking a man over the head with a rock at a BP gas station.

Greenburgh police responded to a report of a fight at the BP gas station at 190 Aqueduct Road at 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 21. Officers found a 43-year-old male bleeding from a head injury.  He was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel and transported to Westchester County Medical Center, according to police.

Police said the victim was walking to the gas station to buy something when he was confronted by an intoxicated male who began to argue with him. The intoxicated male then struck the victim in the head with a rock and fled toward Fulton Street, according to police.

Police said they canvassed the area but couldn't find the suspect. The suspect is described as a male in his 20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a heavy build, short dark hair and a mustache. He was wearing a gray shirt and shorts.

Greenburgh detectives are investigating the assault and are asking anyone with information to call 914-682-5331.
