THORNWOOD, N.Y. -- Mount Pleasant Police have released a photo of the suspect in a bank robbery at Chase Bank in Thornwood on Friday.

The suspect is believed to be a Hispanic male in his 20s to 30s, according to police.

The robbery occurred between 1 and 1:10 p.m., according to Mount Pleasant Det. Artie Romaine.

Romaine said the man is 5-foot, 7-inches tall with a medium build, wearing a dark hoodie, faded blue jeans and sunglasses.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the Marble Avenue area during the robbery to contact Mount Pleasant Police and ask for the detective on duty. If no detective is on duty, people are asked to give their information to the desk officer.

Mount Pleasant is working the case with the FBI Joint Robbery Task Force.

The bank robbery caused both the Pleasantville and Mount Pleasant School Districts to be placed on brief lockdown.
